What's on my desk?

I took the month of September to plan the outline of my manuscript.

Now we're into October, and I'm feeling the leaves crisp underfoot as Autumn takes hold here in England. NaNoWriMo isn't until November, though I'm going to take the spirit of this writing programme and apply it to my first draft. That will mean writing 70,000 words in the 31 days of October.

What's next? Once the first draft of the manuscript is complete, I'll be onto the self-editing stage. I'm going to run the storygrid and grammarly over that first draft before selecting a professional editing service.
